That big trip may not be the break that you need with Michelle Kerr.

About Michelle
Michelle is a qualified counsellor, successful entrepreneur and now Business Wellbeing Coach. She is the creator of the platform Wellbeing Weekly, which provides mindset, wellbeing & business tools and support for female health & wellbeing entrepreneurs to thrive in their business and life - without sacrificing their own wellbeing, relationships or lifestyle.
After building a successful skincare business from side hustle to full-time global brand over the past five years with her partner, she knows the highs and lows that can come with entrepreneur life. Struggling to find the resources and support she needed earlier on in her business journey and experiencing burnout, she overhauled her business & life to better align and work on her terms - by combining her counselling and entrepreneurial skills & knowledge, mindset shifts, online marketing strategies and more.
She now provides a supportive space for women in health & wellbeing businesses to successfully sell their services online in a way that prevents burnout and effortlessly builds their impact, income and ideal lifestyle. She does this through her podcast, free resources and signature group coaching program - Wealthy Wellpreneurs.
When she’s not working on her businesses, you can find her practising yoga, sourcing the best-smashed avocado dish or out walking her dog, Koda.
In the episode...
Michelle’s first ‘big’ trip was on a Contiki tour through Europe when she was 19. She saw this as an opportunity to trust her and know that she would have to find her way.
Going by herself she knew she would be able to travel on her own agenda.
Going on an organised tour meant she could relax and not worry about the details of her trip and could enjoy the adventure with the structure in place.
Michelle left the tour early and had some time where she was challenged to ‘figure out’ the details of her travels.
Taking a holiday may not be the ‘break’ that you need from your life is one of the biggest lessons that Michelle has learned. Rather, managing her day to day so she does not burnout.
On the flip side, travel and adventure is important to ease the pressure and responsibility. When Michelle has incorporated this in her life she has found renewed inspiration to bring into her daily life.
Michelle shares how taking a break can be counterproductive if you are not managing your day to day effectively.
The importance of incorporating travel, adventure and breaks into your everyday as to not burn out in your everyday life.
Not to put expectations onto your travels and adventures.
Travel has continually taught Michelle that there is always more and there are endless opportunities in the world.
Travel is such a valuable investment in so many ways.
If your on the fence about going on an adventure, think about when you come towards the end of your life. If you feel like you will look back and wish you had travelled then it’s important to try and embrace it even if you don’t feel comfortable.
Why Michelle continues to seek out travels and adventures? Its a form of mindfulness and self-care. Michelle can get out of business mode, rechange and tap into herself so she can be more intentional with her time.
