Cepee Tabibian is a social media marketer and community manager, spending her days as a liaison between brands and people to capture attention. She is the founder of She Hit Refresh, an online community for women age 30 and over who want to break free from routine and start a life of travel.

“Travel reinforces that I am capable of figuring things out and I can rely on myself for everything so that’s very empowering and that builds confidence.”
In the episode...
Cepees first trip was at 17 to the Netherlands to meet up with some friends who she had met when they were on exchange.
Cepee had no idea of what to expect and was shocked to see how different their lives were.
Travelling is now second nature so she has to remember the different things are when you are doing something for the first time.
A story about when Cepee first felt culture shock in Morocco and how she overcame it.
Cepee really found she became resilience and resourceful.
She learned that travel is very empowering and that builds confidence.
How people are all the same and why she sees more good than harm.
Cepee felt that she built a global mindset and travel became her priority.
Travel changed the trajectory of her life and although she likes to have a home base now she still loves to travel just in a different way.
Cepee knows that she can create a life that she wants and not have to fit in a ‘box.’
Cepee now lives in Spain and feels like every day is an adventure and is able to utilise what she has learned from travelling.
The biggest lesson she has learned and implements in her day to day is to ‘not sweat the small stuff.’
Cepee encourages people to try out travel as it allows you to explore who you are on the inside. But yourself in a different situation and see how you will cope.
Cepees adventures have allowed her to redefine who she is and believes that anyone can change the trajectory of their life.
Why Cepee continues to seek out travels and adventures? The exhilaration of discovering something that is unknown. The chase and the high that comes with travel and adventures.
“Travel really made me an independent person.”

When she’s not working on her businesses, you can find her practising yoga, sourcing the best-smashed avocado dish or out walking her dog, Koda.
“You can have just as much transformation with an afternoon down at the beach in your local area than you could flying to New Zealand.”
In the episode...
Michelle’s first ‘big’ trip was on a Contiki tour through Europe when she was 19. She saw this as an opportunity to trust her and know that she would have to find her way.
Going by herself she knew she would be able to travel on her own agenda.
Going on an organised tour meant she could relax and not worry about the details of her trip and could enjoy the adventure with the structure in place.
Michelle left the tour early and had some time where she was challenged to ‘figure out’ the details of her travels.
Taking a holiday may not be the ‘break’ that you need from your life is one of the biggest lessons that Michelle has learned. Rather, managing her day to day so she does not burnout.
On the flip side, travel and adventure is important to ease the pressure and responsibility. When Michelle has incorporated this in her life she has found renewed inspiration to bring into her daily life.
Michelle shares how taking a break can be counterproductive if you are not managing your day to day effectively.
The importance of incorporating travel, adventure and breaks into your everyday as to not burn out in your everyday life.
Not to put expectations onto your travels and adventures.
Travel has continually taught Michelle that there is always more and there are endless opportunities in the world.
Travel is such a valuable investment in so many ways.
If your on the fence about going on an adventure, think about when you come towards the end of your life. If you feel like you will look back and wish you had travelled then it’s important to try and embrace it even if you don’t feel comfortable.
Why Michelle continues to seek out travels and adventures? Its a form of mindfulness and self-care. Michelle can get out of business mode, rechange and tap into herself so she can be more intentional with her time.
“When you’re switching up your environment more regularly you don’t put so much pressure on yourself for your holidays to mean to much or be a transformative experience.”
